The Merewether SLSC Nippers runs each Sunday at Newcastle’s favourite Merewether Beach during the summer months between October and March, with a short break for Christmas / New Year.
Children can join “Nippers” from the age of five (5) years and start learning about surf awareness and safety through the “SurfEd” program. As they get older they are able to participate in fun activities and games, wading, sprinting, board paddling, surfing, and surf swimming, dependent on their ages and abilities. At Merewether the emphasis is on having fun whilst developing these important skills.
